How much longer is it really?

Last night, as I watched Hannity and Combs, I was amazed at
the number of illegals crossing into our country along our
southwestern border. Immigration professionals put the
number now at approximately 11 million illegal aliens in
the USA. I understand that there is also a considerable
problem along our northern border. I watched today as many
of the vicious MS-13 gang members were rounded up by law
enforcement agencies. These gangs, originally from El
Salvador, have in recent years spread all across the US from
California to New York.

Articles continue to dominate the news concerning Iran and
their desire to produce a nuclear bomb. Russia is providing
Iran technical support as well as material to make this a
reality. I read that the mad mullahs, if given the ability,
could possibly detonate a nuclear devise high in our
atmosphere, ultimately knocking out our power grids as well
as all our computer infrastructure. This could effectively
send us back technologically to the nineteenth century for
several months if not years to come.

As I think about this I remember Israel in the OT. They
were bent on worshipping idols and God responded by
removing his protective hedge about them. I believe that
this is what is happening to our country. As we continue to
worship our various gods of hedonism and humanism, God is
removing his guardian hand from our country. Isaiah said it
best: "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil;
that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that
put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" (Isaiah 5:20).

Another interesting article by J.R. Church relates one of
the top rabbis in Israel predicting the immediate return of
the Messiah. This is based on Sabbaticals that will end in
2007/2008. Of course, most Bible students realize that the
Lord's return is just around the corner, and have warned us
repeatedly that if we plan on doing anything for the Lord,
we best get started before it's eternally too late.
