Paul tells us that "evil men and seducers shall wax worse
and worse, deceiving and being deceived" (2 Tim. 3:13), and
"that in the last days perilous times shall come" (2 Tim.
3:1). From contractor's supplies being stolen in Florida,
to checks being stolen from individual's mailboxes, to the
two little girls in Illinois who were brutally murdered by
their father, we can easily see that society is quickly
breaking down, little by little. Clarence Larkin, the
dispensationalist Baptist pastor, called this a state of
degeneration. Paul says, "For the mystery of iniquity doth
already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be
taken out of the way" (2 Thess. 2:7). In other words, this
iniquity (lawlessness) will continue to increase until the
Holy Spirit is taken out with the church at the Rapture.
Then the floodgates of evil will be unleashed on an
unsuspecting world. Our officers are arresting illegal
aliens all across our country only to be released to
disappear again. Not to mention the steady stream of
illegals crossing our borders in the Southwestern US. I
noticed that Florida has just recently enacted a gun law
that allows the use of deadly force when one is threatened
with bodily harm. With the increasing breakdown of society
I believe that we have every right to bear arms. It seems
that it is becoming increasingly harder for our law
enforcement to protect its citizens. I realize that there
are many who think they have answers to these societal
ills, but the only ultimate solution rests in the return of
Jesus Christ to reign and rule from His millennial throne
with a restored Israel. "And the Lord shall be king over
all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and His
name one" (Zechariah 14:9).
