Newsweek Joins the Club of Irresponsibility!

The latest article by Newsweek on alleged desecrations of
the Quran have led to fifteen deaths, hundreds injured,
buildings burned, as well as irreparable damage to our
relations with the Arab world. Any thinking person should
realize that an article of this nature would create a
firestorm in the Muslim world. Or was this the desired
effect? This is just one of several incidents in the last
few months from the liberal media and anti-American
correspondents that have brought about a backlash of hatred
toward Americans around the world. Should this be allowed
to continue? Shouldn't there be some accountability
concerning these actions? Do we allow someone to run
through a crowded theatre crying "FIRE!" WITHOUT RECOURSE?
While we're talking about social responsibility and
tallying up the bills for the "runaway bride" this past
month, how about sending a bill to Newsweek for the damage
they've caused around the world. Or could they afford to
pay it? While we're discussing desecration, how about
Christian desecration? Let me list just a few headlines the
past month for everyone to take into consideration:

  • Malaysia Court Releases American Evangelists From Detention
  • Saudi Police Raid Another House Church
  • Hindu Extremists in India Attack Church, Burn Bibles
  • Benin Christian Missionaries' Children Kidnapped And Possibly "Sacrificed"
  • Couple Ministering to Children in Nepal Imprisoned, Charged with Forced Conversion
  • Nigerian Police Arrest Dozens After Religious Violence Kills 18

These are just a few examples of what's going on around the
world in relation to Christian persecution. In the last
year an estimated 160,000 Christians have been martyred
because of their faith. Where is the outcry from our
illustrious media concerning this tragedy?
